    DIN 51750-1, DIN 51750-2 and DIN EN ISO 3170 are the standards corresponding to European Standard
    EN SO 3170 referred to in clause 2 of the EN
    Amendments
    T his standard differs from the February 2000 edition in that it has been revised to comply with the stipula
    tions of E Directive 2003/17/EC, particularly as regards the sulfur content. See Foreword for further details

    Regarding table 1, the requirements for the research octane number and motor octane number of premium
    grade unleaded petrol (designated Super Plus by some petrol suppliers in Germany)are as follows
    RON: at least 98.0
    MOZ. at east 88.0
    All other requirements are identical to those specified for premium grade unleaded petrol
    NB. 4 Requirements for the research octane number and motor octane number of regular
    grade unleaded petrol (cf. table 2
    The specifications of table 2 will be valid until 31 December 2004. From 1 January 2005, table 1 will also apply
    to regular grade petrol
