3. Categories
Test Condition
Test conditions shall be classified by position on which parts are mounted
and by thermal condition into the following five categories:
1st Category
The case where parts are installed directly on highly heated
position of an engine (-) or on hot position adjacent to heat
generating obi
Ject, such as exhaust pipe and brake drum
2nd Category: The case where parts are installed inside the engine room
and heated to a considerable degree
3rd Category: The case where parts are installed
but not heated to a considerable degree s the engine room
4th Category: The case where parts are installed inside the vehicle
compartment and heated to a considerable degree
